§ Mr. Raffanasked the Secretary of State for Wales if he will list the total amount of EEC aid to industry in Wales, which was channeled through his Department during the last financial year.
§ Mr. Nicholas EdwardsIn the 12 months ending December 1983 my Department handled applications in respect of regional aids made available to manufacturing firms in Wales which in that year generated some £12.7 million in European regional development fund commitment. Over the same period, some £300,000 was made available to small firms in Wales under special European regional development fund programmes in steel closure areas. Over the same period my Department agreed to provide exchange risk cover on loans from the European Investment Bank and the European Coal and Steel Community totalling £10.4 million.

§ Mr. Wyn RobertsGrants totalling £25.7 million were accepted under section 7 of the Industrial Development Act for industrial projects in Wales during the year ended 31 March 1983.
