HC Deb 28 February 1984 vol 55 c113W
Mr. Tony Banks

asked the Secretary of State for Defence, pursuant to his reply' of 23 February, Official Report, column 617, how many volunteers involved in experiments at Porton Down were undergoing or facing disciplinary charges arising out of military service at the time of the experiment.

Mr. Lee

No records are kept in the form requested. There is no connection between any disciplinary matters and participation in tests at the Chemical Defence Establishment. All involved are volunteers. They are briefed on the nature of the tests and reminded that they may withdraw if they have any doubts.
