§ Mr. Altonasked the Prime Minister what efforts were made to place the orders for component parts for the pressurised water reactors project with British companies.
§ The Prime MinisterI am advised that the Central Electricity Generating Board expects shortly to order from Framatome forging materials for the Sizewell B reactor pressure vessel which British industry is not equipped to supply. If Sizewell B goes ahead, the board expects over 90 per cent. of the total value of the project to be undertaken by British industry.
