Mr. Gould

asked the Secretary of Trade and Industry whether he will publish in the Official Report a table showing for the EEC and for the rest of the world in 1970 and 1983 the numbers imported and exported, respectively, of (a) cars, (b) heavy commercial vehicles and (c) buses and coaches.

For details of trade in passenger motor cars in 1970, I refer the hon. Member to the answers given to his previous questions on 23 November 1983 at column161–4. the remaining information, so far as it can be provided within acceptable limits of cost, is as follows:
