HC Deb 23 February 1984 vol 54 c624W
25. Mr. Beggs

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if public money has been spent on membership and licence fees for young west Belfast drivers participating at Dunmore stadium short circuit stock-car racing.

Mr. Scott

Membership and licence fees amounting to approximately £280 per annum are paid by Extern, a voluntary organisation, for the participation at Dunmore stadium of those young people engaged in its west Belfast auto project. The Extern organisation receives grant-aid from Government Departments towards the running costs of the auto project.
