§ Mr. LeeFor many years service personnel have participated in experiments at CDE Porton Down. All involved are volunteers, and are made aware beforehand of the nature of the experiments. Tests are carefully controlled and great care is taken to ensure the health and well-being of volunteers. These experiments make a vital contribution to CDE's work in ensuring the protection of our forces against the threat of chemical attack.
