§ Sir Geoffrey HoweWe keep in close touch with the Lebanese authorities about the safety of the members of the British community in Lebanon. On 10 February we organised the successful evacuation of 190 British nationals who wished to leave Lebanon, together with 328 nationals of other countries.
§ 9. Mr. Lofthouseasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether he is planning any fresh initiatives in the Lebanon.
