Mr. Austin Mitchell

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether he will publish in the Official Report a table showing his best estimate of the amount of subsidy paid on sheepmeat reared on hill farms in the latest accounting period, together with subsidies/payments made in respect of cattle reared on such farms.

The latest estimates of the total amounts paid in 1983 to livestock farmers in the less-favoured areas defined under Council directive 75/268 are as follows:
