§ Mr. Dubsasked the Secretary of State for Transport what is the estimated cost of the proposed widening and other road works at the junction of the A339 and the access 522W road to the Royal Air Force base at Greenham common; what is the purpose of this scheme; and what consultations have been carried out with local residents.
§ Mrs. ChalkerThe estimated cost of the scheme is about £150,000. Its purpose is to improve the safety and free flow of through traffic and also that turning into or out of the access road to the base. All householders whose private means of access will be temporarily affected by the road works have been consulted.
