Mr. Janner

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many (a) males and (b) females above and below pensionable age, respectively, have been (c) convicted and (d) acquitted of shoplifting offences for each of the last five years for which records are available in (i) Essex, (ii) Northamptonshire and (iii) the Metropolitan area.
