HC Deb 21 February 1984 vol 54 cc515-6W
Mr. William Ross

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will now ensure that the hours of overtime worked each month by members of the Royal Ulster Constabulary when escorting and on guard duty with public figures in Northern Ireland will no longer be counted when compiling the overtime hours of the Royal Ulster Constabulary in the division responsible for providing men for this duty.

Mr. Scott

The manner in which hours of duty, including overtime, are recorded for internal management purposes is the responsibility of the Chief Constable.
