Mr. Fatchett

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) how much was paid in (a) fees and (b) expenses to Professor Richard Beckhard for his contribution to the management course held at the National Health Service training and studies centre, Harrogate, on 25, 26 and 27 November 1983;

(2) what was the contribution made by the Metropolitan police towards the cost of the management course held at the National Health Service training and studies centre, Harrogate, on 25, 26 and 27 November 1983;

(3) what was the cost of the management course held at the National Health Service training and studies centre, Harrogate, on 25, 26 and 27 November 1983.

A combined fee of £3,335 and expenses of £143 were paid to Professor Beckhard and Mr. Graham. Course fees of £700 in respect of two students were met by the Metropolitan police. The cost of the course was £5,242.
