§ The Prime MinisterStaff who choose to remain at the Government communications headquarters under the new conditions of service announced on 25 January have been offered an ex gratia payment of £1,000 in recognition of their loss of statutory rights. The sum of £1,000 is considered appropriate in view of the rights lost and the effect of their loss on the staff concerned.
