The Budget provision for 1982–83 for the general medical services (Class XI, 2 Section A1) was £773,181,000. This estimate was increased by Supplementary Votes during the year to £801,728,000 and the final outturn shown in the Appropriation Accounts, was £799,220,331 — £2,507,669 less than granted.
