HC Deb 20 February 1984 vol 54 c384W
Mr. Foulkes

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what response the Government have made to the request from the Government of Nigeria for assistance in their attempt to obtain information from a number of persons accused of corruption, including Mr. Isyaku Ibrahim, now resident in the United Kingdom.

Mr. Rifkind

The assistance that British authorities may render is clearly defined in legislation. The attention of the Nigerian Government has been drawn to the relevant positions and conditions.
