§ Mr. Meadowcroftasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he is now in a position to comment on the review of manpower needs at Leeds prison, particularly in regard to the use of the education centre in the prison.
§ Mr. HurdThe report produced following the manpower review has been the subject of discussion between local management and staff with a view to its implementation as soon as practicable. The speed at which progress can be made towards extending the use of the education centre into the daytime will depend upon the other claims for priority in the use of additional staff as they are made available.
