HC Deb 17 February 1984 vol 54 cc349-50W
Mr. Bellingham

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what revisions are being made to the cash limit for Northern Ireland departmental services for 1983–84.

Mr. Butler

The cash limit for Northern Ireland departmental services, NID 1, for 1983–84 has been increased by £3.9 million from £1,968.5 million to £1,972.4 million. The change reflects three increases: £2 million towards additional work which is being carried out by the Northern Ireland Housing Executive on Enveloping schemes; £1.2 million to meet pay costs following the findings last year of the Doctors' and Dentists' Review Body; and £0.7 million for the continuation of the enterprise allowances scheme. These increases are being met from the Contingency Reserve.
