§ Mr. ChannonThe statistics of overseas trade do not distinguish between exports of home-produced goods and re-exports of imported goods. Details of trade in cement are published under SITC (R2) Sub-group 661.2 in Tables III (imports) and VI (exports) of the "United Kingdom Overseas Trade Statistics". Production statistics are a matter for my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for the Environment, but I understand that these have been published for the earlier years in question by Her Majesty's Stationery Office in "Housing and Construction Statistics, 1972–82" (table 4.4) and for 1983 by the Department of the Environment in "Monthly Statistics of Building Materials and Components" for January 1984.
