HC Deb 15 February 1984 vol 54 c193W
Mr. Barnett

asked the Prime Minister if she has replied to the letter sent to her on 7 September 1983 by the clerk to Meeting for Sufferings of the Society of Friends, requesting a statement of the Government's policy on the apparent administrative restrictions on the liberty of religious conscience in the pay-as-you-earn regulations.

The Prime Minister

I acknowledged the letter on 12 September 1983 and the Inland Revenue sent a detailed reply. I understand there has also been subsequent correspondence between the clerk and the Inland Revenue.
