§ 35. Mr. Willie W. Hamiltonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will make a statement on the latest developments in the privatisation of catering, laundry, cleaning and other services in the Health Service in Scotland.
§ Mr. John MacKayA circular asking health boards to test the cost-effectiveness of their catering, laundry and domestic services by inviting tenders for the provision of such services from the private sector was issued in September 1983. Boards will be reporting progress to me in April.
