§ Mr. Andrew Bowdenasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what will be the average loss to pensioners who are council tenants in (a) April and (b) November as a result of the proposals in his statement on housing benefit on 6 February.
§ Dr. Boyson[pursuant to his reply, 9 February 1984, c. 754]; The estimated average weekly loss from taper changes in April 1984 to pensioners who are council tenants will be 83p. Regarding November changes, I refer to my reply on 13 February, at c. 103, to my hon. Friend the Member for Brighton. Kemptown, and the hon. Members for Thurrock (Dr. McDonald) and Oldham, West (Mr. Meacher).
