Mr. Marlow

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what information he has with regard to the size, cost and comparison with the previous premises of the new European Economic Community offices in London; and if he will make a statement.

Subject to the overall provision for such expenditure in the Community budget this is a matter which lies within the responsibility of the European Communities Commission. The budget contains no detailed breakdown of costs which would enable comparison between the old European Community offices and the new to be made.
