§ Mr. WaddingtonThe rules on the admission to the United Kingdom of male fiancés and husbands are set out in paragraphs 41 and 54 of the immigration rules HC 169. The basic —requirements for those applying from overseas are the same, except that in the case of a male fiancé the entry clearance officer must be satisfied that adequate maintenance and accommodation will be available for him until the date of the marriage, without the need for recourse to public funds.
