To what extent the principles of co-operation established in 1978 with the Governments of France and Germany, relating to the Groupement de l'Interet Economique of Airbus Industrie, and which guarantee the financing of BAe's share of agreed development costs, are held to cover the proposed A.320 project.
§ The Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster (Lord Cockfield)The 1978 agreement does not apply to new individual ventures such as the proposed A.320. So far as that project is concerned, the arrangements between the governments interested would be a matter for decision when each government has reached a view on the extent to which it wishes to support the project.
