§ Sir Dudley Smithasked the Secretary of State for Transport if, pursuant to his answer of 1 December 1983, Official Report, c. 554–55, he will show for each local authority in England the amounts accepted for transport supplementary grant for the following items of expenditure in 1984–85 (a) highways: new construction and improvement and (b) public transport investment.
§ Mrs. ChalkerAs in previous years, the transport supplementary grants settlement for 1984–85 names only a single total of accepted capital expenditure for each county council, it being left to the councils to determine their own final priorities and projects within the figure. It is not therefore possible to provide any further breakdown of the figures published in annex P of the "Rate Support Grant Report (England) 1984–85."
