HC Deb 13 February 1984 vol 54 c94W
Mr. Stephen Ross

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether he will take steps to ensure that drug manufacturers identify the contents of their containers in letters that cannot be defaced or easily removed.

Mr. Kenneth Clarke

The Medicines (Labelling) Regulations 1976 as amended, include specific requirements for indelible labelling, on packages and containers, of particulars to identify the contents. We are not aware of any general difficulty on this but we should be prepared to consider any evidence from the hon. Member of a specific problem.
