HC Deb 10 February 1984 vol 53 c797W
Mr. Gordon

Brown asked the Secretary of State for Employment how many school leavers have refused to take up places on youth training schemes since July 1983.

Mr. Peter Morrison

[pursuant to his reply, 8 February 1984, c. 612]: I regret that the total number of refusals is not available. The number of young people whose benefits were reduced for unreasonable refusal of a suitable opportunity between 1 September 1983 and 31 December 1983 was 378.
