asked the Secretary of State for Transport what are the implications for large-sample road accident analysis systems of the proposals to disband the metropolitan authorities.

Future arrangements for the analysis of road accident data will be decided after considering responses to the consultation paper on the proposed abolition of the metropolitan county councils.

Mr. Teddy Taylor

asked the Secretary of State for Transport if he will give the latest position on moving the Civil Aviation Authority headquarters out of London.

Mr. David Mitchell

The Civil Aviation Authority is still considering whether to relocate its headquarters outside London. I expect that it will announce its final decision shortly.
