§ Mr. Jannerasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department when he last carried out an analysis of information required for ethnic monitoring of his Department; and whether he proposes to take steps within his Department to comply with the monitoring provisions of the Commission for Racial Equality's code on ethnic monitoring.
§ Mr. BrittanMy Department is taking part in the surveys of ethnic origins of non-industrial civil servants in the north west and in the county of Avon. I shall consider further action in the light of the results of these surveys and in consultation with my colleagues.
