§ Mr. Batisteasked the Secretary of State for Defence when he will be in a position to issue to individual employees of the royal ordnance factory, Barnbow, Leeds, details of any changes in their terms of employment arising out of the proposed change of status of the royal ordnance factories.
§ Mr. PattieThe Ordnance Factories and Military Services Hill provides for the main terms and conditions of employment to transfer unchanged to the successor company in accordance with the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 1981. Work is proceeding to identify those conditions of service which will need to be modified because of the ROF's new status, and, after full consultation with the trades unions, these will be incorporated in the successor company's personnel rules. These will be made available to all employees as soon as the consultations with the trades unions have been finalised.
