§ Sir George YoungThe present arrangements for housing subsidy take into account expenditure on redevelopment and capitalised repairs of the local authority's stock including dwellings of prefabricated reinforced concrete construction. In general, 75 per cent. of the loan charges on such expenditure count towards an authority's subsidy entitlement. This need for expenditure for this purpose is taken into account in deciding housing investment programme allocations.
