Mr. Mason

asked the Prime Minister when Her Majesty's Government intend to introduce legislation to amend the Opencast Coal Act 1958 to allow planning applications for opencast sites to be transferred to local authorities and authorisations from the Department of Energy to the Department of the Environment.
