HC Deb 08 February 1984 vol 53 c609W
Mr. Alfred Morris

asked the Under-Secretary of State answering in respect of the Arts what representations he has received from the group for education in museums; what reply he has made; and if, as requested, he will be meeting representatives of the group in advance of its extraordinary general meeting on 14 March.

Mr. Waldegrave

I have been asked to reply in my capacity as Under-Secretary of State for the Environment.

We have received representations from the group on our White Paper "Streamlining the Cities" (Cmnd. 9063) and we shall consider them carefully, together with the many other representations received. I do not think that a meeting at this stage would serve a useful purpose, but we shall bear its request in mind.
