HC Deb 07 February 1984 vol 53 c567W
Mr. Mark Robinson

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what are the Government's intentions regarding further aid to Grenada.

Mr. Raison

I am today informing the Grenada Government that we are prepared to make available a new interest-free loan of £1 million for expenditure on capital projects to be agreed between our two Governments. This follows an initial commitment of £750,000 which I announced to the House on 28 November last—[Vol. 49, c. 378] — to help meet immediate development needs following the events of last October.

In addition, I have made provision for an ongoing programme of technical co-operation to assist with advisory and training needs.
