§ 48. Mr. Maginnisasked the Secretary of State for Transport why the transfer of vehicle registration marks from donor vehicles in Northern Ireland to receiving vehicle s elsewhere in the United Kingdom has been suspended; and when he expects such transfer will be resumed.
§ Mrs. ChalkerThere is at present no provision for the transfer of Northern Ireland registration marks from vehicles in Northern Ireland to those in other parts of the United Kingdom. Discussions are now taking place with the police to establish whether permitting such transfers would present any difficulties for law enforcement.
