Mr. Dalyell

asked the Secretary of State for Defence how many staff of his Department and British Forces Post Office personnel work at the United States communications centre, Menwith Hill.

Mr. Lee

There are 140 Ministry of Defence staff employed at Menwith Hill station. None of these are Royal Engineer postal and courier personnel, who operate the British forces' post office system.
