§ Sir Keith JosephSex monitoring is not a legal requirement, but last year the Department gave information to the Cabinet Office (management and personnel office) about single-sex posts and complaints under the Sex Discrimination and Equal Pay Acts, and undertook an internal analysis of the proportion of women in various grades within the administration group.
