§ Mr. Wigleyasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will publish a table showing how much money has been paid to housing associations and other voluntary housing movements and co-operatives towards their administrative costs in each of the past five years.
§ Sir George YoungExchequer grant is not paid directly in relation to housing associations administrative costs. Their administrative expenses in developing and running housing projects are taken into account however in calculating capital payments of Housing Association Grants, by reference to standard allowances. Records are not kept of the total of such allowances. Housing Associations which incur admissible deficits on housing activities are also eligible for revenue support. The element of support attributable to administrative costs cannot be isolated.
Exchequer grants made under section 13 of the Housing (Homeless Persons) Act 1977 towards the central co-ordination of housing advice services to homeless people were as follows:
