asked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether the Oxford regional health authority's new 260-page outline strategy approved by the regional health authority on 6 January has his approval.

We accept the general aims of the region's proposals and welcome the emphasis the outline strategy places on the care of the elderly, mentally ill and the mentally handicapped and the major shift towards community based services.
