§ Mr. Carter-Jonesasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will give estimated dates when each of the regions and districts will achieve a target of treating 40 to 50 per million of the population suffering from kidney diseases; if he will indicate the progressions to be expected for 1984, 1985 and 1986; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. John Patten[pursuant to his reply, 26 January 1984, c. 702]: We have informed health authorities in announcing the distribution of resources for 1984–85 that specific targets will be set for developing renal failure services in discussion with regional health authorities. This discussion is now in progress and we shall be making the targets public when they have been agreed.
