HC Deb 03 February 1984 vol 53 c399W
Mrs. Renée Short

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what specific resources are being provided to enable paediatric haemodialysis, transplants, spinal injuries, chorioncarcinoma services and the National Poisons Information Service to continue.

Mr. Kenneth Clarke

We have allocated the following cash amounts for 1984–85 to the supra-regional units designated for the provision of these services:

Service £
Paediatric haemodialysis and renal transplantation 2,654,000
Spinal injury services 9,892,000
Chorioncarcinoma services 482,000
National Poisons Information Service 183,000

These allocations follow the advice submitted to Ministers by the supra-regional services advisory group. They have been calculated to allow for a 15 per cent. increase in work load for paediatric haemodialysis and transplantation, and for activity in the other services at the same level as in 1983–84.
