HC Deb 03 February 1984 vol 53 cc386-7W
Mr. Mudd

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and food whether it is proposed to change the cash limit on any departmental Vote for which he has responsibility.

Mr. Jopling

Subject to parliamentary approval of the necessary Supplementary Estimate the cash limit for Class III Vote 4 "Central Administration (Intervention Board for Agricultural Produce)" will be increased by £253,000 from £18,155,000 to £18,408,000. The increase will be offset by a reduction of £163,000 from £94,892,000 to £94,729,000 in the cash limit for Class III Vote 3 "Other Agricultural and Food Services (Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food)" with the balance of £90,000 being charged to the Contingency Reserve and will not therefore add to the planning total of public expenditure. The increase for Class III Vote 4 mainly reflects an unforeseen increase in the demands made on the intervention board.
