Mr. William Powell

asked the Lord Privy Seal whether he will make a statement on the storage of parliamentary records and library books.

Mr. Biffen

Mr. Speaker and the Lord President of the Council have appointed an informal Joint Committee to assess the need for accommodation for the House of Lords Record Office, including the Sound Archive, and the Libraries of both Houses; and to recommend whether action should be taken to provide additional accommodation.

The members of the Committee are as follows:
