Whether they will indicate—
- (i) the numbers of premature deaths due to ischaemic heart disease in England, in Scotland, in Wales and in Northern Ireland;
- (ii) how these numbers compare with the figures published for other industrialised countries.
§ The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Department of Health and Social Security (Lord Glenarthur)There is no agreed definition of "premature death from ischaemic heart disease". The 877WA following tables presents numbers of deaths by five-year age group in the constituent countries of the United Kingdom, assigned to ischaemic heart disease as underlying cause.
