Dr. McDonald

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science (1) if he will publish in the Official Report the average amount spent per child per year on nursery education by the education authorities in England in 1979–80, 1980–81, 1981–82 and 1982–83;

(2) if he will publish in the Official Report the amount spent on nursery education per child per year by Essex education authority in 1979–80, 1980–81, 1981–82 and 1982–83;

(3) if he will publish in the Official Report the total amount spent on primary education in Essex, compared with the average spent by local education authorities in England in 1979–80, 1980–81, 1981–82 and 1982–83;

(4) if he will publish in the Official Report the amount spent by Essex per pupil on (a) teaching staff and

Information for the individual local education authorities is published annually by the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy in its publications "Education Statistics, Actuals" and "Education Statistics Estimates".
