asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will give the expenditure in each of the 26 district councils in Northern Ireland on (a) road construction and (b) road maintenance, in each of the last five years.

[pursuant to his reply, 23 January 1984, c. 519]: The Department of the Environment for Northern Ireland carries out its road functions on a divisional basis with each of the six divisions being responsible for between three and five district council areas. The available information is as follows:—
