HC Deb 01 February 1984 vol 53 cc246-7W
24. Mr. Concannon

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry to what extent United Kingdom trade with the European Economic Community in manufactured goods has deteriorated, in current prices, between the beginning of 1973 and the end of 1983.

Mr. Channon

Estimates are not available in today's prices, but to compare growth rates over the period our imports of manufactures from the countries of the Community grew at an average rate of 21 per cent. a year, while our exports increased at 17 per cent.
