§ Mr. YoungerAt 21 January 1984 the area of plantable land, plantations and associated land in Scotland which had either been sold since the passing of the Forestry Act 1981 or was in the process of being sold, totalled 49,210 hectares.
This area of land represented some 6 per cent. of the total area land managed by the Forestry Commission in Scotland prior to the passing of the Act.
