§ Mr. Aitkenasked the Secretary of State for Energy what will be the generating capacity of the Central Electricity Generating Board's proposed wind turbine development at Richborough; and what this represents in terms of the number of homes for which it will be able to provide electricity.
§ Mr. Giles ShawThe CEGB has applied for consent to construct a wind-powered generating plant having a maximum electrical output of up to 4 MW. I am advised that at full power this would supply a community of about 4,000 people.
§ Mr. Aitkenasked the Secretary of State for Energy what steps have been taken to ensure that the Central Electricity Generating Board's wind turbine development at Richborough will not interfere with local television reception.
§ Mr. Giles ShawThis is a matter for the board. I have asked the chairman to write to my hon. Friend.
