Mr. Fatchett

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what has been the percentage change in the numbers of people employed by West Yorkshire metropolitan county council in the latest year for which he has figures available compared to 1974–75, excluding uniformed police and fire service personnel and probation and after-care officers.
